Sisters! and new hats!

Aunt Ardith and Aunt Charlotte sent us these adorable matching hats so we thought we'd try them on! Love them!

"What are you about to do to me?"

Evie was a little unsure about being pulled into a kiss....

I love these beautiful little girls!

EASTER!

Here are a few pics snapped at Easter! The Easter bunny came after naps and Evie didn't want to wake up yet....so she slept through the fun. Olive found her basket the Easter bunny had hidden and instantly starting cracking the eggs open!

We had a wonderful Easter! We started our celebration at church to learn of and honor Jesus Christ for the sacrifice he gave for us, his resurrection, and what it means for us personally. So thankful for this knowledge! Then lunch, naps, and the Easter bunny. So exciting!

Oh so blessed!

Jason blessed Evelyn Mara on Sunday. It was wonderful! We are so very grateful to all our family and friends who have been there to support us and our sweet Evie!

why we decided to potty train Olive....

This happened more than once....

She could remove all clothing, remove her diaper, then call and tell us she had went pee-pee... I think we were ready! Olive is now day trained and working on when we venture out and naps/bedtime. We are so proud of her progress!

First Bath!

Evie's First bath!

Here is a picture from Evie's first bath! Doesn't she look tiny in comparison to my hands?
Its really hard to keep you updated in real time when we dont have internet! So, sorry, this is two weeks past due but here is an update!
EVIE CAME HOME!
She came home on February 28th, at 2 weeks old!
Here are some pics! Leaving the Nicu and going home!

Olive meeting her new baby sister for the first time!

Our traditional celebration for the new mama with an edible arrangement!

Big Sis looks happy, eh?
We celebrated with a feast with Grandma and Grandpa R then had strawberry shortcake for dessert! The next night, to prolong the celebration, we got chipotle burritos because they looked just like our Evelyn all swaddled in her blanket. Dont you agree? I could just eat her up! Yum!
We have loved every minute of having Evie home with us- even the sleepless nights. My nights were pretty sleepless when she was in the Nicu anyway!

Evie update!

These were then....
This is now! Here are a few pics of our little Evelyn. She is doing much better. She is off the Sipap machine and oxygen and is breathing all on her own! She is working now on eating and breathing simultaneously so we can get rid of her g-tube and bring our baby home! No word on when that will happen but we are just taking it day by day and enjoying every minute we get with her. We feel so blessed to have our little Evie!
