We had just returned from spending the weekend visiting family which means no one slept well the night before, they hadn't had normal naps, and it happened to be very cold! Evie felt it was a nasty trick to be dragging her out in that condition but Olive, though tired, was sooo excited to trick or treat. Although She was throwing massive fits when I wouldn't let her eat every piece she got, overall she loved it which made it worth the immense effort it took to not just forget it and go to bed! I do hope I never have to take the kids trick or treating alone again though!

Halloween playdate!
Halloween is my favorite time of year! I love the smell and feel of Fall! I love apples, pumpkins, crunchy leaves, pumpkins desserts, costumes, and a spooky feeling in the air! So of course we had to invite all our friends over for a spooky Halloween play date! It was sooo fun!

Jen K. made these adorable mummy cookies and they were delicious!
A costume was required!
College girl Hillary and skeleton Lilly, Army Sargent Dallin, Jen, and baby ballerina Aubrey
Rapunzel Sabrina, Mermaid Fiona, Snow White Savy, and Ballerina Olive

Coloring pumpkins and haunted houses!

Thanks to all our friends who came! Even though the mystery scavenger hunt was rained out, we had a blast doing the monster mash, coloring, and eating yummy food! SO grateful for all our awesome friends!

Snapped while she was sleeping...
Grandma Susie and Grandpa John visit Ohio!
When the girls woke up from their afternoon nap last Friday.... they had two special visitors! My parents had flown in for a long weekend visit. My mom had come to stay for a week when Evie was in the NICU so she had met Evie but only while she was in the hospital and my Dad had not met her yet! And Olive has changed so much since we went to visit them last September (2010)!
Wake up snack! I love the tongue sticking out here! Saturday we went to a really fun place that had a big apple orchard and lots of fun Fall activities! Grandpa rented the girls a wagon and escorted them around! They loved it!

Olive sure loves goats!
Olive love, love, loved the hay pit and sandbox full of corn kernals, Evie too! They dug and played for a long time!
We ended the day with the Moo Ride which is a ride in what looks like an old, metal milk jug turned sideways. There were about 12 of them all pulled by one big tractor! Really fun!We also went to Boo at the Zoo!!

Grandpa decided Olive needed her first pony ride and she still talks about it almost everyday since it happened over a week ago! Tells me how the pony went bump, bump, bump and how she had to hold on! She loved it!!

Haunted Zoo train ride!
And they spoiled the girls with new outfits as well and Grandma Susie snapped these pics! So sweet! We had such a wonderful visit and I feel so blessed to have had this time with my parents and the girls getting to know their grandparents better! Amazing moments, awesome memories!
