Rainy day and fever play

Olive awoke on this rainy morning with a fever :( It was a bit of a rough morning...no successful nap until 1:30pm! Yikes! But...after a good long nap....well, you'll see. Our day went nap, play, bath....enjoy the fun pics! I love this baby! Even with a fever, she's the life of the party!

P.S. I love being Olive's mommy!

Since we have a season pass, we'll be spending lots of time at the Zoo! I'll try not to bore you with too many Zoo blogs but we had lots of fun and excitement this time!

Our Favorite part of the Zoo this time was the Polar frontier. The Polar bears were swimming in the water and very active. We even got to see the Brown bears up close.....up VERY close!

This bear kept walking by and pausing at Olive. She loved it, and screamed with joy!

A visit from friends!

William and Nerissa paid us a visit about two weeks ago...sorry about the late blog! We decided to make our homemade Pecan Rolls to celebrate the occasion. We hadnt seen them since Little Owen was still in his momma's tummy so this was the first time we were going to meet little Owen and for Olive and Owen to get to hang out!

Jason did a great job rolling and cutting the rolls! We dont own a mixer or rolling pin so he did it all by hand! Very impressive!

Mother's Day Celebration

We had a great weekend! Sunday, Jason and Olive played while I slept in AND took a nap before church! We later headed out for a nice Sunday evening walk and then Jason made us dinner. Turkey burgers with onions and mushrooms and sweet potato fries! Yum! He also got us our fav "Take the Cake" ice cream to enjoy! The real treat though was that he took the day off work today and we spent the day at the Zoo with Grandpa Dave and Grandma Gay. Olive loved the aquariums. She also had her first ride on a carousel! We've been working on our animal sounds and she recently learned how to "roar" and "growl" like a lion! She must think all Zoo animals speak Lion because she growled at them all! It was adorable! After the Zoo, we headed to a yummy dinner at Outback Steakhouse! It was a wonderful first Mother's Day and I am truly blessed to be a mother!

And so it begins...

We've joined the world of Blog. I wasent sure it would ever happen, too many demands on our time as it is. But, we do want our family and friends, many who are far from us, to be able to check in and see what is happening in our little pocket of life. Enjoy!
