May catch-up!

I am way behind on blogging but I am going to slowly catch up!
We took a trip to Amish country in May! We mostly took pictures of beautiful Amish furniture but here are a few of an ice-cream stop on the way home!

Wood floors are so awesome on rainy days! We just roll up the rug and bring the bikes inside for the girls to ride around! They love it!

We have a Mother's Day tradition of going to the Zoo! The girls fav thing now is to feed the Lorakeets nectar! The birds come right up to you, even perch on your arms sometimes!

We also went on a family vacation to North Carolina at the end of May! We have so many pics.... that will be my next post!

Random pics I love from the last two months!

Just some fun pics from the last two months. These two are getting big and make me laugh everyday! Motherhood is a lot of work.... but the joy is well worth the effort.

Easter pics... finally!

We started our Easter celebration with Grandma Gay and Grandpa David the Sunday before Easter since they werent home Easter Sunday. We had a yummy dinner- ham, potatoes, carrot cake, etc. Delicious! We also got to enjoy some of General Conference together. They were very sweet- Hid eggs for Olive to find and had a basket of goodies for each grandaughter!
We colored Easter eggs. A first for Olive!
Grandma Susie and Grandpa John sent the girls these adorable monkey jams for Easter!
I made carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting for Easter dinner. Olive tested it out for me and gave me the thumbs up!

Easter basket hunting!

Our neighborhood held their annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday!
Friends- Maddy, Courtney, and baby Hannah!
We took time Easter Sunday evening to talk to Olive about the resurrection and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Two year olds dont absorb much but we felt it important for her to understand that Easter is truly about that combined with a Spring celebration. She learned how to say resurrection and I feel like some of it sunk in. It is wonderful to think of the sacrifice that he gave for me. I love the fact that I can enjoy this life with all its ups and downs and know that this isnt it. And that I have a chance at being perfected someday because of His mercy. My soul can find relief because of this. Happy Easter to you all!
