Grandma Susie and Grandpa John visit Ohio!

When the girls woke up from their afternoon nap last Friday.... they had two special visitors! My parents had flown in for a long weekend visit. My mom had come to stay for a week when Evie was in the NICU so she had met Evie but only while she was in the hospital and my Dad had not met her yet! And Olive has changed so much since we went to visit them last September (2010)!

Wake up snack! I love the tongue sticking out here!

Saturday we went to a really fun place that had a big apple orchard and lots of fun Fall activities! Grandpa rented the girls a wagon and escorted them around! They loved it!

Olive loved digging in the dirt.... almost as much as all the real attractions!

Olive sure loves goats!

There was a bakery where we had pumpkin cookies and the best pecan bars EVER!

Olive love, love, loved the hay pit and sandbox full of corn kernals, Evie too! They dug and played for a long time!
We also jumped on the big jumping pillow and went down the slides on burlap sacks!

We ended the day with the Moo Ride which is a ride in what looks like an old, metal milk jug turned sideways. There were about 12 of them all pulled by one big tractor! Really fun!
We also went to Boo at the Zoo!!
Ballerina Olive and Butterfly Evelyn

More goats! Olive loves to brush and comb their fur!

Polar bear viewing! My sweet sweet Evelyn! Always smiling!

Dad and daughter! Love this picture!

Mom and daughter!
Grandpa decided Olive needed her first pony ride and she still talks about it almost everyday since it happened over a week ago! Tells me how the pony went bump, bump, bump and how she had to hold on! She loved it!!

Haunted Zoo train ride!

Some of my favorites of Grandma Susie and Evie!

And Grandma with Olive!

Grandpa John and his girls!

And they spoiled the girls with new outfits as well and Grandma Susie snapped these pics! So sweet! We had such a wonderful visit and I feel so blessed to have had this time with my parents and the girls getting to know their grandparents better! Amazing moments, awesome memories!

Doing some catching up!

About a week and a half ago we returned from a super fun trip to Pennsylvania to visit our Uncle Spencer, Auntie Linda, and cousins Adam, Mark, and Rachel. We made the seven hour trip overnight and we were so grateful we did! We had an awesome time! It was great to have so much noise and action around us...its been pretty quiet around here the last few months. Here are some pics from our trip!
Olive had a great time exploring all their toys! So many new things to play with!

There was lots of goofing around and silliness... Olive couldn't get enough of her cousins!

Adam and Mark wrestling

Her cousins loved trying to get Evie to laugh! Its not very hard... she is such a happy baby!

Rachel dancing!

Just hangin' out.
We went to the Hands On House, a really fun children's museum!

I think the crowd favorite was the miniature grocery store.

There was also a dress up room. Olive was, of course, only interested in the hats.
There was one room that was a little factory where the kids clocked in and worked. There was a QC station, maintenance station, and an assembly line.
There was a farm where you gathered eggs from the chickens, milked a cow, rode in a tractor, and pulled corn straight from the stalks.

There was also a face painting station which the girls loved! Olive had a great time painting her own face.

She made this face every time she painted her nose?!?!

Auntie Linda painted Rachel's face like a cat!
These other little girls had their faces painted like a puppy and Evie thought it was hilarious!

And Olive discovered her love for the Eleph-Fun game where you catch butterflies that come out of the elephants trunk with little nets.

We had such a great time with our family in PA. They were so kind to host us for 9 days and give us a break from the emptiness we often feel at home.

A few days ago, one little white tooth poked through in Evie's mouth!! Then two days later, the second little bottom tooth made an appearance! Its hard to see in the pics but we are so excited they have arrived! I love when babies only have their two bottom teeth.... such cute little grins!

Olive needed me to take a pic of her teeth since I was taking one of Evie's!
