Since I had some pregnancy restrictions, after July.....we didn't do too much but hang out inside and try to take it easy. I have four pictures from August. Two tub pictures and two pictures from our Summer birthdays playdate. We have a quarterly birthday party so we can celebrate all of our little friends' birthdays together!

4th of July

Our 4th of July celebration this year was right in the middle of an 8 day power outage due to a crazy wind storm we had had. And it was 100 degrees. But we managed to attend our neighborhood Independence Day celebration, the Dublin parade (no pics) and a friends party. Here are some pics of the Brookside Independence Day celebration.
 Stroller parade
One of Olive's best little friends was riding a rocket bike for the decorating contest. She won!

Olive loved climbing in the bounce house!
Olive really, really, really wanted to have her face painted. We waited in line for a LONG time and her patience was tried but look at that happy face once it was her turn!

She ended up with a kitty cat with a red bow on its head AND it was glittery. She loved it!

 Papa and a sleepy Evie.

A few days later, we attended the Hatchs 4th of July Celebration! It was great fun- good bbq, a stroller parade, the Pledge of Allegiance, and even an Elmo pinata for the kids....and then the adults because the pinata proved too tough for the kiddos!

We don't have pics of the adults taking their turns but it was hilarious. One spouse was blind-folded while the other told them when to swing. Despite the crazy storm and the damage sustained, we had a great holiday and appreciated being able to celebrate our country and the freedom we enjoy!

June catch up

I am slowly (very slowly!) catching up on "r" blog. This pregnancy is presenting many challenges I did not expect that have caused me to put some things on the back burner. Overall, all is well... just a bit delayed. So here is a June catch-up!
To be honest, we did not do much! We went to the 'dancing bunnies' splash park which is where these pics are from. We celebrated a low-key Father's Day weekend with Jason! He went shooting with a friend and we had a special notebook made with pics from our NC vacation on the inside covers for him. He loved it! We celebrated our 8 yr wedding anniversary! And at Olive's suggestion we toured a local chocolate factory just like "Monkey George" in one of Olive's fav Curious George books (sorry, no pics were allowed at the tour!) And that brings us to July....coming soon! :) Thanks for your patience!!

One evening a few months ago, Jason and I decided to head up to bed. We found it was already occupied by an adorable girl in a pink headband reading momma's books! I found these pics on the camera and just had to share!

A visit to North Carolina!

Our good friends, Nerissa and William, let us come spend a week with them over Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time just hanging out and letting the kids play but we also ventured out for a few road trips!
We went to a natural science museum which had everything from Dinosaurs, aquariums, a miniature grocery store, a ship to play on, even a small zoo! It was fantastic!

Jason researched and found out there was a tank museum not too far away. William, Owen, Jason, and Olive checked it out!

Jason found Olive a pink (her fav color) camo hat in the gift shop!

For some reason, the tank museum also had a dinosaur. It wont let me flip the pics but I couldnt not post them. Jason told Olive to roar like a dinosaur. She did! And then attempted to teach Owen how to do it too!

We also went to an awesome state park in the Blue Ridge Mountains that had a lot of big, gorgeous waterfalls to hike to.

We had an awesome time with our friends and exploring northern NC! Thanks so much for having us Nerissa and William!
